PRTG Manual: Licensing specific parameters
Licensing specific parameters can be used with the PRTG Database Observer console to retrieve information about your license and to activate or deactivate your license.
The following parameters are available:

Deactivates the PRTG Database Observer license. Followed by the license key you want to deactivate. |

Returns an XML containing details regarding the active license.

To validate a full license, you must send the system ID to Paessler support. You can view your system ID with the -getID parameter.

After you receive your license from Paessler, you can activate it through the console with the -validate:license key parameter. You receive a confirmation message with details about your license when the license is successfully activated.

Deactivate a license
When you want to deactivate a license, you must execute the console application with the -deactivate:license key parameter.

Your full license key was successfully deactivated.
You can then remove all hosts with the -removehost:IP address parameter.
