Features limited on the multi-platform probe

The following features are currently supported, but are limited:

Description

Auto-discovery

Auto-discovery is only possible with custom device templates.

i_round_blueYou can add an auto-discovery group to multi-platform probes if you select Auto-discovery with specific device template under Auto-Discovery Settings | Auto-Discovery Level. To use auto-discovery with a device template, you must first create a device template with the sensors you want to create in the group.

i_round_redThe device template you use with auto-discovery must only contain sensors that you can use on a multi-platform probe. The device template and auto-discovery with that device template fail if there are sensors included that the multi-platform probe cannot use.

i_square_cyanFor more information, see the PRTG Manual: Device Templates and Add an Auto-Discovery Group.

Device templates

The following sensors do not currently have device template support on multi-platform probes:

▪Cloud HTTP v2

▪Cloud Ping v2
