PRTG Manual: Configure PRTG connection
Finally, finish the multi-platform probe setup in the PRTG web interface.
The PRTG core server will restart after you complete this step. During the restart, all users of the PRTG web interface, PRTG MultiBoard, or the PRTG Apps for Mobile Network Monitoring are disconnected and reconnected.
1.In the PRTG web interface, navigate to Setup | System Administration | Probes.
2.In Probe Connection Settings, make sure that Probe Connection IP Addresses is set to All IP address available on this computer or Specify IP addresses.
3.In NATS Connection Settings, select Allow connection via integrated NATS server (recommended).
4.Enter the NATS server access identifier from the configuration wizard.
5.Click Save.
6.Click OK to restart the PRTG core server and apply your settings.
7.After the PRTG core server restart, click Approve in the PRTG web interface to include the new probe in your device tree.
Do not click Approve and auto-discover. The multi-platform probe only supports limited auto-discovery.
If you delete a multi-platform probe and want to restore it, or if you accidentally click Deny on the PRTG web instance, you must restart the multi-platform probe:
sudo systemctl restart prtg.mpprobe.service
Make sure the multi-platform probe you want to restore is not on the Deny GIDs list found under Setup | System Administration | Probes | Probe Connection Settings.
